You should avoid self-tanning within 48 hours of your appointment and come in with clean, dry skin.

Exfoliating the night before is a good idea if you already have an exfoliation regimen.

If you have sensitive skin and/or are concerned about discomfort, we recommend that you take a mild pain reliever (like ibuprofen) around 45 minutes to one hour prior to your appointment.

If you’re using retinoids or other skin-thinning treatments, you should stop using them 3-5 days before your appointment if the area you are waxing is where you topically apply the products.

Your skin may be a little red/tender after being waxed, which can last up to 48 hours.

Waxing causes pores to enlarge and leaves them susceptible to bacteria and other issues if you’re not careful.

For Brazilian and bikini waxes, don’t have sex for at least 24 hours.

For underarm waxes, don’t apply deodorant for at least 24 hours, but it can be applied to clean skin (i.e. after a shower if within 24 hours).

For all wax services, including the previously mentioned services, you should AVOID the following activities for at least 24 hours:

>Wearing tight clothes over the waxed area(s)

>Swimming and/or taking hot showers/baths

>Working out and/or sweating excessively

>Touching the waxed area(s) with unclean hands

>Tanning of any kind (bed, spray, sun, self, etc)

>Exfoliating the waxed area(s)

>Applying makeup or potentially irritating products to the waxed area(s)
